I'm a cat! I shouldn't have to work like a dog!

Okay, so maybe I don't work quite as hard as I say I do; but c'mon, I'm sure you can imagine how exhausting it is to simply lay around being THIS adorable all day!  And then there's "The Woman" who works for me here at my store; I DO have to "crack the whip" every now and again to keep HER in line...otherwise she starts acting like she OWNS the place!!

Seriously though, I don't have to "crack the whip" much these days to keep "The Woman" busy; it's a busy time right now for people who work with animals, it's the dreaded "kitten season" and there are so many homeless or unwanted litters of kittens this time of year.  In fact, "The Woman", who does a little kitty rescue of her own, will soon be picking up a litter of kittens to foster.

As the "Ambassacat" of our own "Street Rescue", I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to please, PLEASE, spay or neuter your pets.  And please donate to your local animal rescues if you can; it's the only way they can afford to help the animals they do.  I realize that it seems there is always a waiting list for most rescues to help even more animals; but please be patient with them, there is only so much they can do with limited resources and few foster homes, which is why "The Woman" is trying to help out with this litter of kittens, even though our own "Street Rescue" is full too!

So, while you're all out there helping to save the homeless critters for me, I'm going to strenuously roll myself over here and take a wee nap.  All this typing has exhausted me!
